There is a growing demand from OEMs and niche manufacturers for more powerful electric drivetrain solutions. This new product* will allow TM4 to supply its customers with a new system using the cutting-edge technology, patented motor design and the latest Isolated Gate Transistors (IGBT) to deliver the industry’s highest specific power and torque densities. This results in a powerful, yet very compact, electric power train.
Features and characteristics
When compared to conventional technology such as induction motors, the HSM200 system is half the weight. A motor power density of approximately 2.5 kW/kg makes TM4 one of the technological leaders in electric drive systems. This power density will allow TM4 to exceed the DOE targets for 2020 by more than 150%. We also developed new scalable and modular power electronics, using 1, 2 or 3 IGBT modules, depending on the motor it is matched with.
